Production Assistant

Flexible Part-Time Workshop Role

New Position

Prefer real work over endless meetings, paperwork and site politics? We’re a small North Queensland manufacturing business building niche equipment that gets shipped all over Australia, and we’re looking for a practical extra set of hands in the workshop. This role could suit someone who's semi-retired but likes keeping busy, enjoys working with tools and machinery, and wants flexible part-time work without the bureaucracy, endless paperwork and site politics that come with bigger companies and mining jobs.‍ ‍

We’re after someone reliable, practical and mechanically minded.

The work includes:

  • Pump and equipment assembly

  • Basic welding and fabrication

  • Component assembly and fitting

  • Picking and packing orders

  • General workshop duties

  • Keeping the workshop clean and organised

No trade qualification needed, but you do need to:

  • Be handy with tools

  • Have good practical/mechanical sense

  • Work well independently

  • Take pride in doing a proper job

Current driver’s licence required.

Forklift ticket or skid steer experience is a bonus.

The role is workshop-based with flexible hours, approximately 16–24 hours per week across 2–3 days.‍ ‍

We care more about reliability, practical ability and attitude than fancy resumes and corporate buzzwords.

If you’d like to be part of a growing Australian manufacturing business and enjoy honest hands-on work, we’d like to hear from you.

“Their attention to detail and commitment to quality truly stood out. We’ve already recommended them to others.”
